December 2023: Teknolunas 2023

The “TEKNOLUNAS” 2023 was held at the Batangas State University last December 06 and 07,2023 which was spearheaded by the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Health Technology of De Lasalle University or I-BEHT chaired by Dr. Nilo Bugtai, PhD and president of the newly founded Society of Clinicians and Biomedical Engineers of the Philippines of PSCBE.  The event is intended to showcase the prioritization of sustainable healthcare development and the importance of research, collaboration and commercialization to accelerate the innovation of biomedical technology to Filipinos and community.  By the discussion, the goal is to put emphasis on extending innovations in biomedical engineering partnership and collaboration to promote research and development in the Filipino community and medical breakthrough in healthcare innovations.

Speakers and reactors were invited in the event which was represented by government, academe and industry in the field of science and health technology, research and development, business incubation and manufacturing.  Aniano A. Matabuena, Jr. EVP of P.IMES CORP. was invited as one of the reactors for the 3rd Plenary entitled “Biomedical Device Research: Challenges and Opportunities which was discussed by Dr. Josephine Bundoc, MD of NEOLIMB Program from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center College of Medicine.

Other plenary speakers and reactors from the Medical Device Association of the Philippines (MDAP) and Society of Clinicians and Biomedical Medical Engineers (PSCBE) are Dr. Nilo Bugtai PhD, Dr. Luis Ramon Rodriguez MD,MBA, Kenbert Ting MBA, Eng. Paul Soriano MBA and Sherwin Nones, MBA from Integrated Mico electronics Inc., (IMI)  who is the HEAD of Strategy and Corporate ESG.          

P.IMES CORP. is establishing its corporate footprint to contribute for the development of locally or Filipino made medical device in collaboration with the academe, government, medical professional and business sector to help boost the healthcare system in the country.
